This Stockdale Country Club Wedding in Bakersfield is one of those venues that defines show stopping. So you can imagine the excitement that coursed through our veins when Sue and Jafet decided to share their love there. One of Bakersfield’s top wedding venues.

Sue is a dream bride. She is absolutely stunning, involved and a fellow wedding vendor. Her brother, Daniel, is the owner and operator of DJ Dance Entertainment. She even did her own wedding day make up! Talk about commitment.

Jafet is a surgeon’s assistant. He works in the operating room, changing lives for the better on a daily basis. A testament to his character, Jafet’s patience and caring spirit leave a lasting impression on everyone he meets. When Sue and Jafet get together, they are the perfect blend of style and sophistication.

Smitten at Sunset

When we arrived at this exquisite ballroom wedding at Stockdale Country Club in Bakersfield, we knew it was on a whole other level. Immediately, we dive into portraits. Our newlyweds, fresh faced and ready to capture their love, hop into a golf cart and venture into the sunset. The Country Club offers many beautiful locations. However, we knew we wanted to take Sue and Jafet to a pond we have longed to shoot at. One that shimmers and glistens in the afternoon light as it nestles in the shadows of enormous palms.

Our couple quickly knock their bridal portraits out of the park. So, we head to the next location which includes a stunning vantage point of the clubs most recognizable feature. Here, in the middle of a private road, Sue and Jafet are center stage among incredible palm trees. There isn’t a place in Bakersfield with an iconic look such as this.

The Party

We make our way back to the party after some breathtaking portraits. Guests made their way into the ballroom, ready for the fun to begin. It’s funny, no matter how many years you have been in the wedding industry. Or how many weddings you have worked. There is always something to surprise you. As you recall, we mentioned Sue’s brother was a wedding DJ. He, along with the rest of his siblings, surprised Sue and Jafet with their very own remix to some of their favorite songs.

The new Mr. and Mrs. had one last surprise for their guests, one that would match the creativity of the new in laws. Jafet and Sue planned a late night snack for their guest, a street hot dog vendor! The night was a perfect marriage of elegance and fun. There is no wrong way to celebrate your wedding. If you stay true to your style and have a little fun with it, you can throw an exceptionally exquisite and personal wedding.
