Being your wedding photographer means being a part of something greater than the day of, we are documenting moments for you to have and to hold, forever. When you hire us, you join our family, and we join yours as you embark on life's greatest adventure yet.
We are there for you when mom looks on to see her little girl all grown up. We capture the tear jerking moments when you recite your vows. We are even there when grandma and grandpa share their sweet dance moves with the world at the reception! These are the moments we live to share. It is a privilege and honor to be your wedding photographers.
Hiring a husband and wife team provides the unique understanding of love that only marriage can bring. We have shared in those same feelings of angst and excitement leading up to the big day so we dedicate ourselves into making your wedding even more amazing! This allows us to approach your wedding with experience and passion to capture moments that you can cherish for years to come!
Hiring a full-time husband and wife team provides you with a built in second shooter. Often times, when a couple hires a photographer without a dedicated second shooter, they don't get the opportunity to meet the second photographer until the day of their wedding. When hiring a husband and wife team you meet both of your photographers and build a relationship from the moment you first meet.
Hiring a husband and wife team creates an atmosphere of friendship every step of the way! Your engagement session seems more like a double date instead of a photo session and meetings feel more like lunch with friends!
As a husband and wife team we bring our own strengths to every wedding. We can both manage a wedding individually so together our talents allow us to become even more creative! One of us may focus on the finer details while the other directs their attention to the bigger picture. This creates imagery that is unique, timeless and beautiful!
As husband and wife, we are in this together full-time. Our passion has budded into a full time career because we devoted the necessary time and energy into making sure our couples get the experience and creativity they deserve. You are getting two professional photographers for the price of one! That saves you money and provides you with peace of mind that your image quality will remain consistent throughout every step of the wedding!
We first met at our former jobs, a warehouse that raises live butterflies. We became instant friends.
During college, Sasha starts her own business,
Sasha Saldana Photography.
Fast forward a few years, we reconnect at a local fundraising event and sparks flew. We begin dating shortly after that.
Vic is struck with a life-threatening illness: bacterial meningitis. Only a month after we started dating!
Vic recovers from meningitis. Around the same time, Sasha meets Vic's two children, Victor and Catherine.
Only after a few months of dating, Vic proposed! Sasha said YES!!!!
Sasha teaches Vic the ropes around photography. We quickly realized how much we loved doing photography together.
Sasha graduates from Cal State Bakersfield with her Bachelor's in Fine Art with an emphasis in Education.
We said "I do!" and officially become, The Barrera's!
We unexpectedly learn Vic has a rare heart defect that requires open heart surgery!
After hearing the devastating news about Vic's heart, we get Kobe, our golden retriever to lift our spirits.
After a few emotional months, Vic undergoes a successful open heart surgery.
Vic makes a full recovery from surgery. Here is Kobe comforting him in time of need.
We rebrand from Sasha Saldana Photography to Vic & Sasha Photography, our now husband and wife team.
Having a passion for teaching, Sasha begins the credential program in hopes to teach high school art.
