A Newfound Friendship Blossoms

Life is funny at times. It seems no matter what route you take on your path, whether it be the more reserved or the bold and daring one, you always end up right where you belong. We are strong believers in the simple idea that love and life are bound by fate. A notion that your special person is waiting for you to meet them. Or perhaps you already have met them and you just haven’t got the time down yet. No matter what the circumstances may be, we feel that something greater is drawing us nearer to our better half. In our story, Sasha and I worked together previously and really liked one another and developed a strong friendship, but the timing wasn’t right… until one day about a year later it was. Fate is one of those things that isn’t easily explained to someone who doesn’t believe in it whole heartedly, but for the hopeless romantics in us, it doesn’t matter. Love will find a way.

Fate Brought them Together

This leads us to the story of Richie and Gisela. Two of the most adventurous people we know. They are educators, best friends and soon to be Mr. and Mrs. They first met when while they attended UC Santa Barbara. As fate would have it, they were two people from Bakersfield who would happen across each others path while furthering their education in another city. One of Richie’s friends is the one that introduced them! What are the chances? So it only made sense to have their engagement photos taken there.

The Engagement Session

We began their session at the beautiful Santa Barbara Courthouse. After an outfit change, we headed to Stearns Warf to switch up the scenery which provided a more nautical theme for their photos. And to top it all off, we headed to University of California Santa Barbara, where they first met. We brought this engagement session full-circle.
