When the pandemic caused the world to shut down we saw a rise in glamorous and creative celebrations here at home. Friends and families found new and interesting ways to celebrate their milestones while incorporating exciting trends which inspired new themes. Now, as the world slowly begins to reopen, these celebrations continue to offer the most unique thrills anywhere. That’s our segue into the latest and greatest collaboration with celebrity planner and florist, Jorge Ortega; as we partnered to capture a spectacular Tulum inspired birthday celebration in Los Angeles!

Who doesn’t love Tulum? The weather, the cocktails, the attire. Literally everything is tropical and trendy. We began the evening by capturing some breathtaking details. This included, a fantastic structure ascending into the sky. The natural wood tables and stools were a breath of fresh air. Each table scape decorated with fresh florals and candles. It was as though the pages of a travel magazine sprung to life. Yet, it was unlike anything we have ever witnessed. Accents such as the extravagant pampas leaf chandelier will continue to be a personal favorite feature for a thousand years. This type of innovation is at the forefront of all great creative service based industries. So much so, that the spirit of excellence was felt in every moment shared in that Los Angeles night sky.

Throughout the evening we captured some thrilling shots filled with sparklers, music and life. Just as a smoky hint of tequila preludes the greatest journeys of a Mexico adventure, or the celebratory salud of one, this Tulum inspired birthday offered a taste of exotic here at home. Perhaps, it was the surprise banda, or maybe it was the mariachi. On second thought, maybe it was the mobile raspado bar that kept the warm evening air at bay with its assortment of fresh fruit flavors and fan favorites, Whatever it was, life was just a little more spicy in the moonlight.

The bar was another jaw dropping masterpiece, where guests were invited to warm their souls with a the spirits of Mexico. Springing with life, the one of a kind experience being offered at the bar brought the illusion even more to life. However, just adjacent to this stunning display of tonics was the focal point of the evening. An out of this world balloon wall! Inside this balloon laden gazebo was the most decadent confections of assorted sweets. The words “Love You To Tulum and Back” transcribed over palm and monstera leaves echoed the nights motto into another unparalleled Los Angeles night.

We will continue to chase this type of raw and natural emotion with our cameras any chance we get. Making sure to stop and taste the sweet lime and tequila along the way.
