Vic and Sasha’s 2019 Year in Review

What a year 2019 has been! As your Bakersfield Wedding Photographers, we look back at all the amazingness! And we can’t help but do a little happy dance. There has been so much growth and enlightenment, allowing us to develop a new found love for what we do. We look back to some of our most endearing and heartfelt moments these past 365 days and showcase some of our personal favorites. Join us as we jump into a year in review with Vic and Sasha!

We’ve had so much fun in 2019 but none of it would be possible without the most amazing clients in the world. However, the phrase “client” doesn’t quite capture the true essence of the relationship we strive to create. So, we are going to take this opportunity to thank every one of our FRIENDS that we had the great pleasure of documenting in 2019. Your trust and support allow us to live out our dream, and that’s something we take to heart each and every day.

Family Portraits

There’s no doubt about it, the sweetest memories are those shared with family. Each and every time we get an inquiry for family portraits, we get all warm and fuzzy inside. We have a large family, so we understand the importance of capturing these moments when everyone is finally all together. This year our family portraits took us through almond groves, wildflower super blooms, and the coast of the Pacific! We even captured our own family portraits in our hometown.

Maternity

Ok, this is just one of the most precious categories of all! We had the pleasure of working with so many incredible mommies-to-be. Looking back at these images, there really is no question why this was one of the most requested sessions this passed year. These women are glowing and it is absolute magic, we received so many inquiries about their gowns, and who can blame them? They are flawless!

Engagements

We can’t deny it, we have a weakness for engagements! And, 2019 was no different. The love is always on full display and for many it’s the first opportunity to have professional photos taken together. We use this session as an opportunity to become more familiar with our couples. This means that on the day of their wedding, they’ll be more relaxed and less worried about the camera in front of them. Some of our personal favorites took place down 2 Rodeo Dr. up to Glacier Point in Yosemite National Forest and everywhere in between.

These are some of the most fun sessions because we strive to capture authentic love and affection. Even though every session is different, we try and use a variety of prompts that will result in genuine reactions such as: “Whisper to her that you’re batman” just to get a genuine reaction out of them.

Weddings

It’s about that time! We have been holding in our excitement for this category. Closing out “A Year in Review with Vic and Sasha”, is our absolute favorite category, WEDDINGS! The biggest party of all, the best day of all, and the most fun anyone can have celebrating their love! We had the pleasure of working some of the most beautiful ceremonies this year. Since we began Vic and Sasha photography, we have held a special place in our hearts for weddings. It’s our calling, it’s what we are passionate about and it’s something we enjoy sharing with the world.

We love the symbolism of weddings and everything they stand for. This year we traveled a bit to document best friends in love throughout the biggest day of their lives. And, just because the party is over, doesn’t mean we can’t relive those best moments. That’s the true beauty of photography. It’s the driving force behind our profession. The ability to create timeless memories. We hope this showcase of top moments from our 2019 weddings allows you to join in on the fun.

After Party

Everybody knows after the party is the AFTER PARTY! So we plan to keep the festivities rolling into 2020, with more amazing friends and so unforgettable moments. We just want to express our love and gratitude to everyone who has followed along with our journeys this year. To our friends who have worked with us and along side us we cannot begin to express our thanks enough. Keep your eye peeled for even more content this year and a few surprises that we are cooking up.
